Saturday Cheryl and I spent the day at the third of our planned spinning classes ‘gaining control’! Steve had a very busy day at home, but I will tell you all about that tomorrow.

Spinning class not only resulted in us learning to spin, but also in new friends, me starting to learn to knit and weave, and to the possibility of the sheep earning their keep. I really should be telling you about the time spent over the holiday season with my new friend and fibre-arts mentor Elizabeth, during which she has taught me how to wash fleeces and how to use a drum carder to turn my fleeces into roving ready for spinning. But I spent a good part of yesterday with her and the latest fun thing she has taught me I just can’t wait to share! |
