Talk isn’t cheap, it’s FREE!

My friend Bill gets messages from the universe that he shares on his blog. Today I realized that I do too.

Sunday roundup

January 17th, 2010 by Heidi

It struck me that it might be a good idea to have a weekly round up post on a Sunday, some days there are simply too many things to write about, and sometimes the things I want to share don’t need a post all to themselves. These things aren’t less important than the normal posts, in fact some of todays is more important than the ‘regular scheduled programming’, it’s just that during the week I have a task list I work to even if sometimes the world rearranges my plans!

It has been quite a year for us, it has been our first full year here on our little farm.

We’re back!

September 28th, 2009 by Heidi

As you may have guessed from the silence on here we have been on holiday. I had a plan to write and schedule some posts before we went away but sadly things rather got away from me. For those of you who don’t ‘know’ us, we have just had a rather self-indulgent trip back to England for my little brother’s wedding.

Sort of Holiday

September 6th, 2009 by Heidi

We are having a sort of holiday so you will have to bear with me if posts get a little few and far between. Yesterday we collected Steve’s mum, sister and brother-in-law from the airport – and they brought me proper chocolate! :)

I have had a couple of days off! My Dad came for a short visit and we spent a lovely couple of days checking out the countryside on bike and foot.

Home is where the heart is? Home is where?

I am not so sure about the whole ‘distance makes the heart grow fonder’ business, at the moment I would suggest it is more like ‘distance makes the heart ache’ or perhaps ‘distance makes you realize you are fonder’!

Happy New Year

January 2nd, 2009 by Heidi

First things first, we would like to wish everyone a very happy, healthy and prosperous New Year!

2008 was quite a year – well for us anyway! It probably ranks as the most life changing year, alongside 2006 when we emigrated! We started 2008 grieving and hoping for better things in the new year. The end of 2007 had seen the loss of my Grandpa, my job and in the very last days of the year, the very sudden loss of our kitten Chaz. I don’t think we could ever have imagined how much 2008 had in store for us!
