Home improvements

January 27th, 2010 by Heidi

As we mentioned before we are very concerned about being as environmentally friendly or ‘green’ as we can. One of the steps we are taking in our efforts to lessen our carbon footprint is taking advantage of the government scheme to reduce energy usage; we had our home energy audit back in February last year and discovered that our house receives a failing grade!

Gifts that keep on giving!

December 7th, 2009 by Heidi

We have made a lot of changes over the last few years for a number of reasons, many because of the change of lifestyle required by our decision for me to stay home and mind the farm. Many because of our desire to lessen our ‘footprint’ on the world. And of course you can’t discount the difference emigrating makes!
