A few months back my laptop was showing signs of being overworked, it was running very slowly and so Steve tried giving it a cup of coffee to perk it up!
Flicker’s Lair BlogArchive for the ‘Geek stuff’ CategoryMac attack!July 19th, 2010 by HeidiDon’t have a cow, man!June 22nd, 2010 by HeidiLast night was orientation evening at the Manotick Village Butcher. Our butcher Blair showed all of us, not just those who will be working in the shop how to properly chop up a chicken! A new job!March 8th, 2010 by HeidiI have re-joined the ranks of the properly employed! That is I am employed by someone else, and it is perfect. It is a work-from-home part-time web development job. So I can do what I enjoy and earn some extra pennies, without having to worry about travel, or leaving the sheep or dogs home alone all day. Shetland fleeces for saleFebruary 22nd, 2010 by HeidiLiving on a single salary has really taken some getting used to and I don’t know I can say for certain that we really have yet. We are still sure of our decision for me to stay home and mind the farm, but we really need to get the farm to start contributing to rather than draining finances. My first award!February 17th, 2010 by HeidiToday I got my first blogging award. This may seem silly to some, but I put a lot of work into my blog, and Flicker’s Lair as a whole, and it is really gratifying to know that there are people ‘out there’ who are reading and enjoying my efforts. A little more tunefulDecember 18th, 2009 by HeidiYou may have read my post back in October about my beautiful new-to-me free piano. The only flaw in my plan for a free piano was that it needed tuning, and that isn’t free or even cheap! A tale from the geek side!December 16th, 2009 by HeidiI am sorry about the title – please blame Steve’s weird sense of humour! I don’t often talk about the more geeky side of me, but when I decided to escape from the office 9-5 environment I didn’t want to escape from web development entirely. I still love designing, developing and maintaining websites, and I do spend a surprising amount of time doing just that. |
