And right now Charlie thinks I have the best job in the whole world! Perth Farmers’ MarketMay 11th, 2010 by Steve and HeidiWe were keen to check out the nearby Perth farmers’ market and it just so happened that it opened for the season on Saturday. We figured we deserved the morning off and rather needed some groceries. Bread baking experimentMarch 23rd, 2010 by SteveOver the last few weeks I have been experimenting with some bread recipes from Heidi’s cook books. A new job!March 8th, 2010 by HeidiI have re-joined the ranks of the properly employed! That is I am employed by someone else, and it is perfect. It is a work-from-home part-time web development job. So I can do what I enjoy and earn some extra pennies, without having to worry about travel, or leaving the sheep or dogs home alone all day. Applesauce GranolaFebruary 16th, 2010 by HeidiSince we first discovered homemade granola it has become a fixed part of our routine, every Sunday we make up a new batch to get us through the week. Apple Cauliflower SoupFebruary 9th, 2010 by HeidiWe did manage to pop to the shops on the weekend, we had to, we needed cat food. While we were there we of course checked the reduced shelves, and found a couple of cauliflowers, one regular one orange. Which was fortunate in more than one way as it turns out that little Miss Lynn is rather fond of cauliflower leaves! Cottage PieFebruary 2nd, 2010 by HeidiWe wanted to make a shepherd’s pie but the lamb that went into our freezer wasn’t very big so we don’t have a great deal of meat, and not really any that we would want to grind into mince. But we do still have a fair bit of the grass fed beef we bought last year, so we decided to compromise and have cottage pie. |
