Steve found what we are pretty certain is a giant puffball in one of our fields!

We were very excited, but took too long making sure of identification so that it is now past the edible stage.

Giant Puffball

It is about 9 inches across and there is another that was 14 inches across a couple of feet away, that has already ‘gone to spore’.

We have seen smaller ones gone to spore around our fields before, but didn’t realize what they were. We have found a couple more big ones, but not in time to catch them at their edible stage, we are still looking though!

I love to know what you think so please rate my post or leave me a comment. If you really liked this post maybe you would consider sharing it. Thank you.
