Saturday evening we had friends come for a BBQ and a few drinks, it was quite late and we had had a few drinks when I heard unusual noises from Willow and Aspen. It was dark so of course I sent Steve to check on them!

He came back saying everything was OK, and there were six puppies! We made him repeat himself a couple of times, then we rushed out to see them!

Willow was doing just fine without us, but wasn’t finished. By the time she was we had eight beautiful, healthy babies. Four boys, four girls, and it was four o’clock in the morning! She is proving to be a very good mum, she is attentive, but happy for us to handle the pups so long as we stay close. Both she and Aspen look very proud of themselves.

This was unintentional, and we are feeling pretty embarrassed, foolish and guilty. But we are going to need another LGD so we are focusing on the positives. We will be looking for good, working homes, so please get in touch if you think you may be interested in having a small white ball of fluff joining your farm in a couple of months time.

I love to know what you think so please rate my post or leave me a comment. If you really liked this post maybe you would consider sharing it. Thank you.
