I have often been told by friends who raise sheep that I should get rid of the thistles in our fields. While it is true that thistles get caught up in the fleece and are a real pain to remove, we prefer to try to live alongside nature rather than ‘against’ it.

A couple of weeks ago we took the evening off from our normal routine and went out with James and Elizabeth to the Watson’s Mill Beer tasting evening. A good evening was had by all of those who attended.

I mentioned a while back that our big willow tree dropped a branch. It was a very large branch and it missed the house, generator and propane tank by inches. Someone was looking out for us!
