Two wheels are better than one!

Now while I still love Louie my upright Louet spinning wheel, when I came across an Ashford traditional wheel on UsedOttawa for a very reasonable price I couldn’t help myself, I have always loved the look of the traditional wheels.

As it turns out I got a very good deal, as along with the wheel I got six spindles, a drop spindle, five books on spinning and dyeing, assorted roving and two sets of hand carders!

Bobbins. You got 6 bobbins. Spindle is the shaft on the flyer they turn on.

Bring it Friday and we’ll give it an overhaul.

Congrats on the great deal! I have two Louets; never got along with the Ashford traddy I tried. If some mad money comes my way, I want to get a Hansen e-spinner; I don’t think I have any other “wheel wishes.”
