Loading ...I was so sure one of us had written about losing the second hive of bees, but I cannot find mention of it so we must not have done. But we did lose the second hive of bees. Although sad it did make moving the hives to our new place a sight easier!
And of course now we have all the equipment hives can be repopulated and that is just what Steve and Dave have done ….
These bees don’t seem to be quite as placid as the ones we had before, and a few from the second box took a dislike to Steve and chased him away!
We have plans for providing better wind breaks around the hives, and making sure they have suitable protection as a bear has been seen in the area. Hopefully we have learnt from our mistakes and will do a better job this time.
