Last week we had a distress call from a friend, one of her neighbour’s barn cats had moved into her barn and had four kittens. Which in itself wasn’t that big a problem, but then one of her tom cats ate one of the kittens! She didn’t know how to keep them safe and asked for our help.

Before we could figure out the details another kitten had been eaten. But the remaining two and mum are now in a dog crate in our kitchen.

Why is a barn cat in a dog crate in the kitchen? We do intend on her being a barn cat or finding another home for her, but we don’t want to let her out until she has been spayed and that can’t happen until the kittens are weaned, so …..

Cora kittens

Pictures are tricky as Cora loves cuddles so is always up close and moving! And she is a very good mum, so if we bring the kittens out she puts them back! :)

I love to know what you think so please rate my post or leave me a comment. If you really liked this post maybe you would consider sharing it. Thank you.
