This week has been nice as Steve has had a few days off to help me get myself back together. It has really helped to have him here, especially with the dogs, and we have had a lot of fun running around the field with the dogs.
Today we finally got our day out and spent it walking in Gatineau park. I haven’t downloaded the pics yet, but you can be sure if I got anything worth sharing I will.
Little Lynn is doing well, and has returned to the flock. Sadly Olivia, in spite of the special care and extra feeding kept getting weaker, and Friday morning Steve discovered that she had died.
We are really pleased and relieved that we have found a new home for Spirit, and to make it even better we have made new friends. She will be guarding a small flock of Shetland sheep, the sheep aren’t arriving till the middle of March and we all agreed it would be better for Spirit to stay here until her flock is ready. We will be sad to see her go, but know this is the best thing for her, for Willow and for my nerves!
Thursday we had our follow-up home energy audit, we had the original audit last year and discovered that we pretty much get a failing grade for efficiency. We are waiting on the results of the latest blower door test, and are hopeful that we have made a difference.
My knitting Olympics project is going well, but I think I will be doing well to get the first scarf done, and don’t think there is any chance of getting a second done, especially considering the ‘fussy’ yarn.
I am loving that the knitting project gives me such a great excuse to watch the Olympics! I really like how they are focusing on the athletes as individuals, their stories and their families.
