This past weekend we had planned for a bit of “time off” and a bit of work. Unfortunately the “time off” was not as planned as we spent most of the weekend looking after Lynn.

While we were there we of course checked the reduced shelves, and found a couple of cauliflowers, one regular one orange. Which was fortunate in more than one way as it turns out that little Miss Lynn is rather fond of cauliflower leaves! A close call!February 8th, 2010 by HeidiWe had big plans for this weekend just past; a while back I happened upon information that there are free nature program’s being run in Gatineau Park and I just loved the sound of ‘Animal Tracking on Snowshoes’. I have been wanting to explore Gatineau park for a while but we never seem to find time, so I had a day’s expotition all planned out, including being booked on Saturday’s snowshoe adventure. Not a super week!February 7th, 2010 by HeidiI have been rather under par this week which has meant not many things being checked off on the task list. I have a hard time giving myself time off, as if I am sitting still then I am generally worrying about what I should be doing, and feeling guilty about it. This week has been a prime example of that – I haven’t given myself a proper day off but also haven’t really managed to achieve anything! Therapy dogFebruary 4th, 2010 by HeidiWhen I first met Charlie I was told he would make a very good therapy dog, and he does. Bees in the winterFebruary 3rd, 2010 by SteveEver wondered what Bees do in the cold winter months? Cottage PieFebruary 2nd, 2010 by HeidiWe wanted to make a shepherd’s pie but the lamb that went into our freezer wasn’t very big so we don’t have a great deal of meat, and not really any that we would want to grind into mince. But we do still have a fair bit of the grass fed beef we bought last year, so we decided to compromise and have cottage pie. Which has meant I have been able to carry on with carding fleece for myself at home. |
