Gifts that keep on giving!

We have made a lot of changes over the last few years for a number of reasons, many because of the change of lifestyle required by our decision for me to stay home and mind the farm. Many because of our desire to lessen our ‘footprint’ on the world. And of course you can’t discount the difference emigrating makes!

Grass fed beef

We don’t eat a great deal of red meat, but we do like to be able to enjoy beef from time to time, the occasional Sunday roast, or comfort foods such as spaghetti bolognese or kali ladika.

Free wood

Oven, Friends, Duck!

As I mentioned in last Tuesday’s post, the element in our oven put on a grand finale light show and then bowed out. I posted a distressed status update on Facebook and then went to concentrate on the long list of chores needing to be done. By lunchtime some very good friends had contacted us to say they had a spare and would like us to have it as an early Christmas present!
