I am sorry about the title – please blame Steve’s weird sense of humour!
I don’t often talk about the more geeky side of me, but when I decided to escape from the office 9-5 environment I didn’t want to escape from web development entirely. I still love designing, developing and maintaining websites, and I do spend a surprising amount of time doing just that.
But now instead of being for the benefit of a big company, I work for small groups or individuals. I am not looking to make huge profits, much to Steve’s distress, but I would rather work with charities, non-profits or individuals wanting to make their own dreams come true. Sometimes I even earn a few pennies!
I have been pretty busy lately with a number of different projects, but I think my favourite of them is the website that has just been launched today for the Shetland Sheep Breeders of Ontario. Of course I am a member as well as web-master, and somehow at the last meeting found myself becoming the treasurer!
I recently allowed myself some time to work on our business site, after all it won’t do for the website of a web developer to be shabby looking! I got started with the design process but couldn’t choose a favourite. So I thought why not do my favourite three, that provides more examples of my designs and gives me a chance to write some fun scripts.
I would love to know what you think about them. Which is your favourite? Did you find the buttons on SiDeWays to let you change the theme?

Who is this Donna Welch person?

I like the fancy script with the brown layout…
I’d like to chat with you about a website for someone… maybe on the 24th ?

I like all of them but I think I like the fancy one best – that said, I would rather see the subtitle in a regular font (maybe what the rest of the text is in) rather than using the same font as the title.
I really like the third option as well.
You are the best webmaster!

I like the first one best (Brown). It’s cleaner and I found it easier to read. The font seemed to suit the company name best. MHO.
