Today was a bittersweet day, we took Charlie, Sammy, Willow and Willomena out to Country Cat Rescue.
Gwen will give them a home for as long as they need it, which will likely be all of their lives. There are a lot of the other cats from that barn rescue all ready enjoying the accommodations. Charlie, Sammy, Willow and Willomena were all welcomed with open paws.
This morning we spent a little extra time …..
….. we will miss them.

That would be very hard to do, but what you are doing for the kitties is wonderful. It’s like trying to put a bandaid on a gaping wound at times. So many unwanted kittens being born…so many people failing to take any responsibility. We had a little calico female show up in ‘town’ (old town, very rural, few abandoned stores, etc.) last week. She is skinny, but not unduly so, she was also wearing a flea collar. I’ve put out a Found ad… I don’t expect much, since she is also very preggie. I think between my Mom and me we will get her up in the kitty condo before kits are born. Mom has said she will have her spayed and she can be a barn cat, but we will have to find homes for the kittens. So sad.
