Giant leaps in George’s Place

This will be a very short post, and sadly lacking pictures, as I need to shut off my computer and relax for a bit before bed, but I really wanted to share with you the giant leaps in progress made in George’s Place today.

Every morning I go down to fill their bowls for breakfast and then go sit in my chair to read. They have been gradually becoming more accustomed to me and a little more trusting, in that I could move around a little without them dashing for cover.

This morning their bowls weren’t completely empty, but I went to fill them anyway. While I was doing so little Miss started getting closer. So instead of just moving away I sat down on the floor by the bowls. She came in close and started eating and was soon joined by the orange boys.

I have noticed over the last few days, since they have become more comfortable, that while they eat they have a great big bonding session with much head-butting, tail intertwining, rubbing and purring. This morning while this was going on I tried stroking them and was accepted.

Sadly Charlie (the big tabby Tom) hasn’t accepted me, but he is becoming a little less distrustful, in that he will come further out from under the bed and stay out longer while I am in the room. But too much movement will send him back to ‘safety’. Hopefully he will learn from the others that I am not bad.

I love to know what you think so please rate my post or leave me a comment. If you really liked this post maybe you would consider sharing it. Thank you.
