As you may have read last Saturday we went out to a barn with Cat Rescue Network and came home with six cats! The two kittens were only making a pit stop and were collected on Sunday to move on to their ‘real’ foster home. I didn’t get a chance to take any pictures of them, so I am hoping their fosterer will take pity on me!

Since then I have spent somewhere between an hour and two hours every morning and evening sitting in George’s Place trying to make friends. Getting pictures has been tricky, but they are slowly getting used to me and I am getting more opportunities. Still, they aren’t great quality, sorry. But I didn’t want to wait any longer.

Here’s the big guy, Louise refers to him as mother as he was looking after the kittens. I was thinking about that while I was looking at him, and thinking ‘mother’ ….. so I have been calling him Charlie.

Then we have the two orange boys, they can often be found hiding together. The one that is orange and white seems to be warming up to me, or at least is less quick to run for cover if I move. This evening when I was sat with them the name Sammy sprung to mind.

We are pretty sure that the last, but not least, of them is a she. She has been the only one with the sniffles and has sounded pretty bunged up, but has continued to eat and drink well and I think is sounding less stuffy. We have been making progress this week, with her being the least spooky of them all, letting me day by day get gradually closer. This evening she let me stroke her, just a little.

I love to know what you think so please rate my post or leave me a comment. If you really liked this post maybe you would consider sharing it. Thank you.

  1. they are so sweet looking – I guess you won’t know how old they are until they can get to the vet??
